दोस्तों आज 27 फरवरी के दिन को हम विश्व एनजीओ दिवस (NGO Day) के रूप में मनाते हैं. यह दिन समाज के हीत में कार्य करने वाले उन हज़ार लाखों लोगो के सम्मान और नए लोगो को जागरूक करने के लिए आयोजित किया जाता हैं.
विश्व एनजीओ दिवस की शुरुआत कानून के एक छात्र मार्किस लियर्स स्काडमैनिस द्वारा 2009 में विश्व एनजीओ दिवस के रूप में मनाये जाने के वारे में विचार किया और इसके लिए लोगो से चर्चा की.
और उसके बाद 12 देशों द्वारा 17 अप्रैल 2010 में विश्व एनजीओ दिवस मनाने की आधिकारिक रूप से घोषणा की.
World NGO Day को संयुक्त राष्ट्र विकास कार्यक्रम (यूएनडीपी) के द्वारा 27 फरवरी 2014 को अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर इसे मनाने की मान्यता दी गई.
और इसी के बाद से प्रत्येक वर्ष 27 फरवरी को विश्व एनजीओ दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाने लगा. इस आयोजन का उद्देश्य गैर-सरकारी संगठन (Non-Governmental Organisation) के क्षेत्र में कार्य कर रहे हजारो लाखो लोगो के सम्मान में मनाया जाता हैं.
